공일오비 소개
015B is a South Korean music producer group that debuted in 1990, becoming one of the country’s most influential and popular acts of the early 1990s. The group’s name, written numerically as 015B, corresponds phonetically to the Korean phrase for “a crow flies across the sky.”
The group currently consists of Jeong Seok-won and Jang Ho-il, who serve as producers, composers, and instrumentalists. They are best known for pioneering the “guest singer system”, a creative approach that treats the human voice as one instrument among many. Instead of maintaining a fixed vocalist, 015B invited different singers for each song based on its tone and theme. This innovative structure attracted widespread attention in South Korea and later influenced numerous other groups and producers who adopted similar models.
Musically, 015B has explored diverse genres including pop, pop ballad, synth-pop, R&B;, electronica, and hip-hop. Their work often incorporates experimental production and socially reflective lyrics, distinguishing them from other acts of their era.
Initially debuting under Daesung Planning (now DSP Media), the group released several acclaimed albums such as 015B (1990), Second Episode (1991), and The Third Wave (1992). After a hiatus during the 2000s, 015B reemerged in the late 2010s, continuing to collaborate with new-generation artists and maintain their reputation as one of the most creative forces in Korean music.
015B is widely regarded as a pioneering and enduring act in South Korea’s pop history, credited with reshaping how producers approach vocal collaboration in modern Kpop.
