DAY6 is a band formed by JYP Entertainment, debuting in September 2015. Unlike typical K-pop idol groups, DAY6 is a proper rock band with members playing instruments — Sungjin (vocals/guitar), Jae (guitar, departed 2021), Young K (bass/vocals), Wonpil (keyboards/vocals), and Dowoon (drums). Their debut with "Congratulations" immediately showcased their band-driven sound and emotional songwriting.

DAY6 undertook the ambitious "Every DAY6" project in 2017, releasing two new songs every month for an entire year, resulting in some of their most beloved tracks like "You Were Beautiful" and "I Like You" Their discography spans pop rock, alternative, and acoustic ballads, and Young K and Wonpil are recognized as exceptional songwriters. Despite being somewhat underrated commercially compared to idol groups, DAY6 has cultivated a deeply passionate fandom called My Day and experienced a major resurgence in popularity in the mid-2020s.
