카라 소개

KARA was a girl group formed by DSP Media, debuting in March 2007. The group went through lineup changes before settling on their most iconic roster of Gyuri, Seungyeon, Hara, Jiyoung, and Nicole. KARA became one of the top girl groups of the second generation, known for their catchy pop songs and signature choreography. Their 2009 hit "Mister" and its famous "butt dance" became a cultural phenomenon across Asia.

KARA achieved extraordinary success in Japan, becoming one of the first K-pop girl groups to truly break through in the Japanese market. They held concerts at Tokyo Dome and released numerous Japanese-language hits, helping establish the pathway for K-pop's expansion into Japan. The group's legacy was marked by both triumph and tragedy — member Goo Hara passed away in 2019, a devastating loss for the K-pop community. The remaining members reunited in 2022 for a special comeback in her memory, demonstrating the enduring bond between the members and their lasting impact on K-pop history.
