이달의 소녀 소개

LOONA, often stylized as LOOΠΔ, is a South Korean girl group formed by BlockBerryCreative. The group debuted with the 12-member lineup of HeeJin, HyunJin, HaSeul, YeoJin, ViVi, Kim Lip, JinSoul, Choerry, Yves, Chuu, Go Won, and HyeJu (formerly Olivia Hye).

From October 2016 until June 2018, each member was revealed individually with their own solo single album through a unique pre-debut project. The members also formed 3 sub-units - 1/3, ODD EYE CIRCLE, and yyxy - that debuted before the full group. LOONA then released the pre-debut single "favOriTe" on August 7, 2018. They finally debuted on August 19, 2018 at their concert titled LOONAbirth and released their first mini album [+ +] the next day.

On November 25, 2022, BlockBerryCreative announced that member Chuu had been expelled from LOONA due to "reports of abuse of power", which was considered questionable by fans and people who had previously worked with Chuu. This led fans to organize a boycott against all LOONA products and services, which caused their upcoming 11-member comeback to be cancelled. Soon after, the remaining members of LOONA filed injunctions to suspend their exclusive contracts with BlockBerryCreative. By June 16, 2023, all members had won their respective lawsuits and subsequently left BlockBerryCreative.

Although the members have split up into different companies and groups, LOONA has not officially disbanded. On July 12, 2023, Kim Lip stated that "[LOONA] is not a disbanded group, however since [the members] cannot use the [group] name freely, we are leaving the possibility of activities as a full group opened."
