MVP was a South Korean boy group under PH Entertainment. Originally formed as a seven-member group, they later promoted as six members and debuted on March 13, 2017, with their first mini album "Manifest". The group’s name stood for "Most Valuable Player", symbolizing their ambition to stand out and excel in the industry.

The group first drew attention in December 2015 through the release of a teaser and early promotions via the members’ personal social media accounts. Their official lineup began to take shape in 2016, when PH Entertainment revealed the members’ stage names and profile images. In February 2017, the group name MVP and their debut plans were confirmed, followed by teaser content leading up to the release of "Manifest", with "Take It" serving as the title track. The album showcased a glitchstep sound, blending elements of glitch, hip hop, and dubstep.

After their debut, the group experienced a lengthy hiatus before returning on October 22, 2020, with the digital single "Every Day". Around this time, member Gi Taek began his military enlistment, affecting group activities. In November 2020, a Makestar crowdfunding project was launched to support their next album, successfully reaching its funding goal, though it was later cancelled without an official release.

In 2021, MVP continued promotions with the digital single "Good Day" and later released their second mini album "I'm a GO" on September 17, 2021. Due to Gi Taek’s enlistment and the unexplained absence of Jin, the group promoted as five members during this period.

On February 16, 2022, member Rayoon confirmed through an Instagram post that MVP had officially disbanded.
