Before joining NTX, Seungwon worked as a child model and actor and was a member of the children's group USS.O Boy, where he promoted under the stage name U.Win. Eunho also began his career as a child model.
Before their official debut, NTX released a series of pre-debut singles collectively known as The Opening. The series began with The Opening: Public, followed by The Opening: Basic Yell, The Opening: Herma, and The Opening: The Finale. The group promoted these releases on various South Korean music programs, allowing them to introduce themselves to the public before making their official debut. NTX's debut was originally planned for January, but it was postponed due to circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.
NTX officially made their debut with the EP Full of Lovescapes, led by the title track "Kiss The World." Following their debut, the group continued their promotional activities and held their first standalone mini concert, For You, in May 2021.
Jiseong later participated as a contestant on the South Korean survival reality show The Wild Idol. He finished in third place during the show's final episode, earning a position in the project boy group TAN.
NTX later experienced their first lineup change when Victory Company announced that Gihyun had left the group for personal reasons. Following his departure, NTX continued their activities and released their first single album, Latecomer.
In 2023, NTX appeared on the South Korean survival program Peak Time as Team 2:00. Their appearance allowed the group to reach a wider audience as they competed against other K-pop groups. NTX advanced to the third and penultimate round of the competition before ultimately being eliminated.
Following their appearance on Peak Time, NTX continued working on new music and released their first full-length album, Odd Hour. The album represented another stage in the group's musical development as they expanded their discography beyond their earlier EP and single releases.
NTX later announced their second mini album, Hold X. Around the same period, Jiseong's activities with NTX were placed on hold as he took time to rest before potentially resuming activities with the group. Jiseong was also active as a member of TAN, which later announced its disbandment.
Following TAN's disbandment, Jiseong did not participate in NTX's upcoming comeback. Victory Company subsequently announced that Jiseong had left both NTX and the agency due to differences regarding the future direction of his activities and the group.
After the lineup change, NTX continued as an eight-member group and began a new chapter with their second full-length album, Over Track.
