TFN (formerly known as T1419) was a nine-member boy group formed by MLD Entertainment in partnership with NHN and Sony Music. The group consisted of five Korean members (Noa, Sian, Kevin, Gunwoo, and On) and four Japanese members (Leo, Zero, Kairi, and Kio). They officially debuted on January 11, 2021, with the single album Before Sunrise Part. 1 and its lead track "Asurabalbalta". In October 2022, they rebranded from T1419 to TFN, adding the meaning "Try For New" to their original concept. Known for their global focus, TFN was particularly successful in Latin America, becoming the first K-pop group invited to the prestigious Monitor Music Awards in 2021. However, after a three-year career, MLD Entertainment announced TFN's official disbandment on February 29, 2024, after the members collectively decided to end their exclusive contracts. Following the announcement, the Japanese members reportedly returned to their hometowns, while others like On and Noa have focused on personal projects or songwriting.
