Gohi is a South Korean singer-songwriter, guitarist, and producer. They are known for blending indie pop, rock, emo, and alternative influences throughout their music.

In 2019, Gohi founded the indie rock project Vanillare, initially conceived as a collaborative band. The project officially debuted on May 1, 2021, as a duo with drummer Ji Yong-hee, releasing the EP Hollywood Fever. Over the following years, the project built its discography with releases including Smoking with the Angel, "Remedy," "무기징역," and "Alive."

Following Ji Yong-hee's departure in August 2023, Gohi continued Vanillare with a rotating lineup of guest musicians known as Good Hands, who joined performances as supporting members rather than permanent bandmates. The project gradually shifted from a traditional band into a collaborative vehicle centered around Gohi's songwriting and musical direction.

On February 7, 2025, Gohi announced the official transition from Vanillare to a solo career. From that point forward, all new music and performances would be released under Gohi's own name, while the musicians formerly performing as Vanillare would continue as their live backing and arrangement team. Future performances would be billed as Gohi with Vanillare, and the project's existing catalog was scheduled to be rebranded under Gohi following the release of the next single album.
