NuNew (born Chawarin Perdpiriyawong) is a Thai actor, singer, and host who has gained international recognition as one of Thailand’s prominent new-generation entertainers. Affectionately known as the “Son of the Nation” in Thailand and the “Pearl of Asia,” he rose to widespread prominence with his acting debut in the 2022 BL series Cutie Pie, in which his portrayal of Kuea Keerati brought him considerable recognition both in Thailand and internationally.

Raised in Bangkok and of Chinese descent, NuNew graduated from Kasetsart University in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in Chinese language. He later received an Outstanding Alumni Award, recognizing his achievements and philanthropic involvement. His entertainment career began after joining Domundi, where he appeared in DMD Reality in 2021. This led to his breakthrough role in Cutie Pie, which he later reprised in Cutie Pie 2 You and the spin-off Naughty Babe. He subsequently expanded his acting career with projects including Mission Fan-Possible, After Sundown, and The Next Prince (2025).

Alongside his acting career, NuNew has established himself as a recording artist. After contributing songs to drama soundtracks, he began developing his solo music career and released his first official single, “Anything,” in 2023. The song entered Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart, further expanding his recognition beyond Thailand. That same year, he and his co-star Zee Pruk Panich held sold-out concerts at Thunder Dome, followed by NuNew’s Dream Catcher solo concerts at IMPACT Arena in 2024, which drew more than 20,000 attendees across two performances.

His music career continued to expand internationally with the Japanese single “First Date at Shibuya” in 2024, which reached the top five of the Oricon Daily Singles Chart. He has also collaborated with international artists, including South Korean singer Paul Kim and KOKORO of the Japanese group PSYCHIC FEVER, further broadening his presence across the Asian music industry.

NuNew officially made his Korean debut on September 30, 2025, with the single album LEAVE ME WITH YOUR LOVE. Produced by K-pop producer EL CAPITXN and developed through a Thai-Korean collaboration, the release introduced another dimension to his musical identity, combining emotional vocal performances with rap and contemporary K-pop influences.

Today, NuNew continues to pursue acting, music, live performances, and international activities. His growing body of work across Thailand, Japan, and South Korea has established him as a versatile entertainer with an increasingly significant presence in the wider Asian entertainment industry.
