In April 2025, Sik-K was sentenced to a two-year suspension, probation, and 40 hours of drug prevention education after voluntarily surrendering for multiple drug offenses. His swift return to performing—resuming festival appearances just 48 hours after sentencing—sparked controversy. Public opinion was divided, with some criticizing his actions while others acknowledged his remorse and voluntary surrender.
Despite the controversy, Sik-K received major recognition at the 2025 Korean Hip-Hop Awards. He won Artist of the Year, KC won Label of the Year, HAON and Sik-K took Music Video of the Year for “KC (BUST IT DOWN),” and Vangdale earned Producer of the Year. The same year, Sik-K released K-Flip+, a deluxe version of his collaborative EP with Lil Moshpit. The album samples traditional Korean sounds from artists of various genres like Silica Gel (indie rock), Kim Sawol (folk indie), Epik High, Dok2, The Koxx, Verbal Jint, and Jay Park (hip-hop), bridging old and new influences.
