Suga, born Min Yoongi, is a South Korean rapper, songwriter, and record producer under Big Hit Music, a subsidiary of HYBE. He is best known as a member of the boy band BTS, where he serves as a lead rapper and producer.

Before debuting with BTS in 2013, Suga was active in the underground hip-hop scene under the name Gloss. He later launched a solo career under the alias Agust D, releasing his first mixtape "Agust D" in 2016, followed by "D-2" in 2020, which peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard 200, marking one of the highest-charting Korean solo releases at the time.

In 2023, he released his first official studio album, "D-DAY', which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Its title track, “Haegeum,” entered the Billboard Hot 100, and the album topped Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart. The release was supported by the Agust D “D-DAY” Tour, which ran from April to August 2023 and became one of the most commercially successful tours by a Korean soloist.

Suga began his mandatory military service in September 2023 as a public service worker and completed his service in June 2025, marking the final enlistment period among BTS members. Following his discharge, he resumed activities with BTS, including participation in the group’s 2026 comeback album "ARIRANG", their first full-group release after completing military service.
