Taecyeon is a South Korean rapper, singer-songwriter, actor, and entrepreneur under 51K. He is the main rapper of the boy group 2PM.

In 2008, he appeared on Hot Blood Men, an Mnet program that documented the intense training of thirteen aspiring idols, all competing for a place in the project group One Day. This initiative eventually led to the creation of two separate boy bands: 2AM and 2PM. He debuted with 2PM on September 4, 2008, with the single album "Hottest Time of the Day".

Taecyeon was featured in Baek Ji-young’s 2009 hit song "My Ear’s Candy". She revealed that she invited Taecyeon to feature on the track after hearing his rap in 2PM’s debut single "10 Out of 10".

In 2010, Taecyeon made his acting debut in the KBS drama series "Cinderella’s Sister", starring alongside Moon Geun-young and Chun Jung-myung. The following year, he co-starred in the high school drama "Dream High" with his bandmate Wooyoung and labelmate Suzy.

He made his film debut in the romantic comedy Marriage Blue (2013).

On July 25, 2018, it was announced that Taecyeon had signed with 51K following the expiration of his contract with JYP Entertainment, having decided not to renew. Despite the agency change, he remains active as a member of 2PM.
