Ravn, born Kim Young-jo on September 2, 1995, in Mok-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, South Korea, is a South Korean rapper, singer-songwriter, and producer currently signed under DSP Media. He first gained attention as a contestant on JTBC’s survival program MIXNINE in 2017, representing his former agency RBW. Although eliminated in episode 13 with a final ranking of 23rd, his appearance led to his debut on January 9, 2019, as a member of the boy group ONEUS with their mini album Light Us. Ravn actively promoted with the group as the main rapper and one of their leading songwriters, earning recognition for his strong stage presence and musical contributions.

In October 2022, Ravn voluntarily withdrew from ONEUS following allegations made by an anonymous individual online. After a brief period of inactivity, he re-emerged in early 2023 by launching his independent music project Demian, through which he released a series of self-produced tracks on YouTube and SoundCloud. His return marked a gradual re-entry into the music scene, showing a more personal and introspective side to his artistry.

In March 2025, Ravn signed with DSP Media and launched new official social media channels to connect with fans. He announced the release of his pre-debut digital single “Comedy” on April 2 and is set to make his official solo debut in Japan later that same month. His fandom is called ROSES, and he remains active through both personal and official social platforms as he begins the next chapter of his career.
