Yim Si-wan, known mononymously as Siwan, is a South Korean singer and actor currently signed to The Black Label for acting and to SMArt for music activities. He first gained recognition as a member of the boy group ZE:A and later performed as part of the subgroup ZE:A FIVE. His first solo release is scheduled for December 5, 2025, with the mini album The Reason.

Siwan began his career in 2010 when he debuted with ZE:A through their single album Nativity. In 2013, he expanded his activities by joining ZE:A FIVE, a unit that launched with the Japanese single album The Classic. His contract with Star Empire Entertainment concluded in early 2017, and he moved to Plum Entertainment later that year. Although the group shifted into an indefinite hiatus soon after, he continued to be regarded as a member. Siwan enlisted for mandatory military service on July 11, 2017, serving as an active-duty soldier. He completed his service and was discharged on March 27, 2019.

In 2025, his music career entered a new phase. SM Entertainment confirmed in October that one of its subsidiary labels was producing Siwan’s first solo project for release within the year. The album was later announced as a December debut under SMArt, a newly established label within SM Entertainment. In November, The Black Label revealed that Siwan had signed with them to manage his acting work. Shortly afterward, SMArt confirmed his solo debut date and the title of his first mini album, The Reason.
